general updates 2/5/24
Feb. 4th, 2024 03:29 am- I finally spent a few Amazon gift cards that had been rotting in my desk drawer on some watercolor supplies! Specifically a palette to put all my half-pans in and a watercolor block so I can stop cutting down pieces to size.
( shinies ) - I've also added a purple and black to my palette because I was unsatisfied with my mixing attempts thus far. Is this cheating? Yes. Do I give a damn when it comes to art? No. Life is too short.
- I've borrowed a sewing machine to get started on my TOTK Zelda cosplay for Tekko. I have never sewn anything before so I am starting with a tote bag (to be given to the friend that leant me the machine) to practice. Several people have offered to help me work it out so I suppose it will be fine, but all my other attempts at learning sewing have ended in disaster.
- Tomorrow's plan, then, is to go buy fabric (preferably with superheroes on it) and work out how to do the thing. I will also be hitting up the nerd store for, hopefully, a copper chrome marker to experiment with.
- I've also got to finish my Candy Hearts assignment this weekend despite some killer art block.
